Yesterday, as I marked this significant day, I ventured to La Taverna with a dear friend, each adorned in pieces that told tales of our past triumphs and future aspirations. I proudly wore a skirt I thrifted during my university years, paired with a top from the stunning gown crafted for my grandmother’s 80th birthday celebration in December. It was a collage of memories, a testament to the enduring beauty of cherished moments.
Before stepping out, I revisited the vision board I had shared with Sisíhannah, a trusted stylist who, in tandem with DSA Lagos, brought my dreams to life. I reminisced about the inception of the gown – originally conceived as a one-piece marvel. Yet, true to the ethos of Wunmii, I dared to envision more, opting for a two-piece ensemble to infuse versatility into my wardrobe.
